Highlights of the September Game 2009

Postby Zeesa on Tue Sep 08, 2009 10:57 am

Hello Everyone! Thought I would kick it off for us this time.

First I want to say HUZZAH to a DRY weekend!! :)

Second I want to say what a great job everyone did both Players and NPC's. Great job to those player's who also volunteered to NPC for periods of time throughout the weekend. It is also always so great to see some new faces....welcome aboard to the new folks! :)

My highlights - always seems like too many to list!

1 - The Horns of War - totally EPIC hearing the Minotaur Horn being blown declaring war upon the stronghold. It was amazing just sitting there and out of the blue hearing the horns bellow and watching the hillside as the Minotaur's come charging down to avenge their fallen brethren! Also the addition of the dark shaman was greatness!! :)

2 - Till death do we part - Zeesa going to see Vith after the Avatar of Torom sucked the soul from her. AMAZING RP between Samarac, Laurelin, and Taldrin as Zeesa began to struggle with her life about to end forever and the feeling of sadness that overcome her at the thought of leaving Taldrin and all of her friends behind. Always great to show real emotion in times like these....yay tears! :)

3 - No Baniel in the Klor's guild?? - Great RP with NOX showing his emotion and frustration as the perils of the realm come crashing down upon us and not knowing what should be done. The Klor's guild seemed to be turned upside down with Taldrin being off on a task and the "SH*T" starts to hit the fan.....I am sure he really enjoyed Zeesa's frantic dream control!!! Also kudos to Orogom for going on the suicide mission to help save his friends.

These were my top 3 - can't wait to see what everyone else has to say. Can't wait for the next game! :)
The roundest knight at King Arthur's round table was Sir Cumference :)

This game was definitely amazing, although it was pure chaos. lol Some of my highlights...

1. Werewolves - Getting to talk to them was just cool, considering Cali was the only one they could understand. Cali may not have liked the ones in the graveyard, but our little friend Amici was adorable! Hopefully he will come back soon.

2. Stark's Initiation to the Silverhand - It was great to have Cali be a part of it, and it was damn intense at some points. Great RP by everyone. But seriously...WHY DID YOU TAKE HIS SEXY EYES?! lol

3. Stark's Death and Aftermath - Cali was ready to lay smackdown on those thieves if there wasn't such a problem with death in her backstory. Seriously though...next time Stark dies, whoever does it is going DOWN! All-in swinging! Just a warning! Oh...anyone who didn't try to help Stark get the dagger...y'all suck. Haha. Great RP fight, Laurelin. Nice to have a screaming match now and then. And, it was amusing to have Artha and Altiri trying to find an enraged and crying Cali. Yay for stealth!

4. The Suicide Mission - The dragon's lair was cool from what I could see. Cali thanks everyone for going, as her life was on the line if we didn't get the Seals of Balinor. :) Oro, you rule, even though you may become a dragon's bitch. *giggles*

5. Item of Magic Light - Haven't gotten to use it in battle just yet...but oh...the pain some shall receive... *grins evilly*

So many more good moments... :) ...I will leave those to others though.

WOW! What a game folks...truly a time to remember!!!

There are so many things I liked about the game overall. I really do appreciate those that were involved in NPCing. You all did a wonderful job at keeping the wheels turning. No complaints about down time! Also,
I would like to say everyone has done a fantastic job staying in character; this truly supports the realism of the game!

Highlights (To name a few):

*Jelb's farm plot...nicely done! I wish I was more involved rather than behind the scenes.

*Nox's RP session...well done everyone. Hope no really took me seriously...I know I had Zeesa fooled!

*Adventures in the Scourge Mountains. The Sareth pulling Artha back out of the dragon’s lair was a nice touch! Orogom lay off the spices...dragons no like (LOL)

*Awethorns...Laurelin, will you ever get your answers??? I am confident it they will come sooner rather than later!

*Samarac inside the drow city…great one on one RP!

*Torom: What can I say to those that died...praise Torom (LOL)

*The drunken commoners...what a blast!

*Killing the new lord...weren't we supposed to question him...hmmm?!??!

*The wolves...especially the stray from "Silent Wood." Nice job on the mask Laurelin!!!

*The old miner...I wasn't there, but heard it was real fun...same goes for the plot involving Stark and the Silver hand!

*The Shadow Thieves Plot. Wow did we direction pull you guys or what?!?!?! Throwing a Silver Hand member in the mists of the meeting got real nasty once he discovered the Shadow Thieves had stolen one of there magical blades...Oh Stark, you will never out run me on my own property...sorry, but the assassinate was awesome especially when you fell to the ground tossing the magical dagger some 50 feet in the woods!

*The hand rape...ok, that's an insider for anyone that was there...So you are now bound to Moon...hmm, what next???

*The Minotaur plot. Yes Zeesa, blowing the horn certainly adds the epic value...then again, seeing all the NPC's come over the hill did the trick also. By the way, did anyone notice the thief I had involved in that plot? It was a personal touch! Thanks Ian for allowing me to relive the glory days!

*And yes, no rain!!!

It was quite a game indeed, and a rather emotionally packed one. I know my chara ran the gambit from very happy, to her rage, to her utter sadness and despair, to defeat and back to hope again.

Highlights:

1. The "Praise Laroon" to spite Torom moment. Of course it was incredibly stupid from an out of game perspective, and no one was privi to the argumaent that waged in my head between me the sensible one and Laurelin but it went something like "Don't do it, its stupid" "Oh shush, your not back on shift til Sunday" "Hey its still ME you know" "He was casting magic in the Druid circle... LAROON'S Druid circle" "Yeah but he is just gonna kick your ass." "I don 't care! This is an insult to holy ground" "Don't be an idiot there is..." "PRAISE LAROON" "... oh... crap...." The rest most of you heard that pretty much ended the argument in magic death... "Told you idiot" "Shut up"

2. Zeesa... agreed on the rp in the Klor's guild. It was really great stuff and very sobering about how dangerous the world of Trill really is. Your words stuck with Laurelin, and later in the game she began to echo the sentiments of why do we keep fighting if it is just hopeless. I love chara introspection and to have it come out in rp is just awesome.

3. The Awethorn kinda laying the smackdown on Laurelin after unloading a ton of ominous news on her was fun, though the chara may not have thought so, I did! If she would just have faith in them she would be much happier, but they made the mistake of telling her there was "something" and she is going crazy trying to find out what it is. Then again its not easy having someone living in your head with you. It killed her not to go on the dragon mission because she had to protect Ickathon by keeping herself safe... but that was a big step for her in the right direction. I hope when he finally speaks to her as promised... he has some uplifiting words to go with it, because she needs them.

4. Samarac playing the transformation was GREAT! He really sounded and role played it perfectly. I can't imagine turning into a drow is any fun at all. Good Job!

5. Brandir, though none of you got to see it, he knew something was wrong with his sister and came all the way from Farlenia to find her. The best was as she relayed all the infromation to him, he would say be completely astounded and about five times she said to him "Wait... there is more" his face was priceless.

6. Learning when the infamous trio of Sam Zeesa and Laurelin are still being followed by the spectres in some way was really cool. It all started with Sam and Laurel locking arms and Keith out as the seer came running over to tell them he saw an aura of light when they did so. Then they called Zeesa over and she joined them to basically blind the seer. Way cool!

7. Cali, so sorry Laurelin lost it on you, but she was trying to help and find out what was going on for her and Cali snapped and came down on Hanz. Sorry kiddo but if Laurelin had to add yet another problem to the list of things going on I think she woulda ran head first into a tree! Great fun rping though!

8. The interactions with the new elf Alteri (spelling) was a lot of fun for me. Great rp of an elf! And an immediate kinship I think felt between the charas. It will be interesting to see where it all goes!

9. Sometimes sitting back and watching all the great rp is just as much fun as taking part in it. Props to everyone this weekend!

10. Gank the Lord, and alcohol poison the guards. Does it get any better than that? Sweet job guys!

The only trouble with the game is the need to sleep getting in the way cause there is so much Im eager to get to and do! But I've been paying for the lack of sleep ever since! Looking forward to next game!

On a personal note, I hope Duran and Shandalar find their way back to the stronghold someday before Laurelin is done, because then it will just be perfect!

Thanks! I hope I didn't fudge it too much by making up the last bit of the fight scene on the fly. ^^;
Did the rest of you involved like it? Because it's not over yet... Mwahahahaha~!

I made sure to dive-roll in the second time. And get on the OTHER side of Orogom. I'm glad I didn't piss off the dragon though, after the fact I was thinking "oh gods how did I not get eaten?! D: "
And now I have five moons (was it moons or weeks? I forgot) to wait until Orogom and I are the dragon's bitches. T_T

I did like the chance to finally feel like I'm really involved in something BIG around the Stronghold. Artha feels left out of all the epic.

It might not be a game highlight, but it was soooo amazing to see you all! Well the ones whom I did get to see, if only for an hour.

Oh, right, yes. Also DRY.

Even if I slip on that last bit of hill anyway. As a Swordsman of Baniel, no less. And so Edan, Glorious Blade of Balance became Edan the Atoning. XD

The funny part is Zeesa, that happens alot. See, when you let your charas take control in rp, they just run all nilly willy and don't listen to reason! And it rocks!

Thank you again to everybody for a fun and memorable game. Since most moments have already been covered, I'll just add these two:

1) The Avatar of Torom sending his minions after me and me backing off trail into a pocket so I ended up being surrounded by branches, twigs, and brush that formed a wonderful protective barrier out of me. Everytime one of the minions swung a sword (usually using high-level skills), their swords would get caught in the brush and branches. Granted, I couldn't attack for the same reason, but I think that the Avatar of Torom was highly amused by this.

2) The Dragon's Lair - Yes Keith, I was tempted to grab some of the treasures, especially because the dragon was sneezing (how can a Dragon be allergic to Paprika and Cayanne Pepper?), but I figured I was going to die anyway, so what use is treasure? Also, I would like to record how the after-exchange went when I revealed that I had to perform an unconditional favor for the dragon:

Stark: Oh man! You're going to have to give the dragon a BJ!
Oro: Actually...the neck was ridged, not smooth, so can anybody tell me where to find a dragon's G-spot?
Morgan: Wait...what if she wants you to find a mate for her?
Oro: Umm...then I go up to Dart and ask him to fill up a garbage bag for me?
Zeesa: But he's so old! Could he even still do that anymore?
Stark: <holds up hands> Driaga! The giant blue pill!

Funny how things work out…I was actually coughing behind the mask not sneezing. Making the deep sounding dragon noises dried up my throat so I began to cough. Anyway, I am glad it worked out in the plot!

That entire conversation was a fantastic laugh after a stressful night of "what the hell are we gonna do's" every few minutes. lol But still...Driaga...that was the BEST. Stark, you are a genius.
