Racial spelling

Racial spelling

Postby Dragon's Thorn on Mon Apr 13, 2009 3:49 pm

Okay, I know this is nit-picking, but I would like to point out something here:

the appropriate spelling would be "Triclops", not "Tryclops". The prefix tri- meaning three as opposed to try- which would indicate an endeavor.

Finally! A use for my Bachelors Degree!

Thanks I appreciate the feedback. It was actually a mistake early on so as a yoke we decided to leave it that way.

+5 for originality!

Id say given this is a fantasy realm and chances are the Tryclops people developed their own language and grammar useage, real world language rules need not apply. "Try" in Tryclopsian may mean something else entirely. Technically "elven" is not proper use of english either. Most fantasy terms are not. Just a thought.

P.S. All that schooling and money I hope you get better use of it.
