Highlights of the July Game 2009:

Normally, I like to list out all the wonderful things that happened to us all this past weekend at Trill. Well, this time I will leave that one to you all for now. As always I do want to recognize those that helped NPC. I/we all appreciate the hard work and dedication!

Here are some firsts for the NPC world...

*NPC shaving his beard off for a plot! ...Wow!!!

*NPC (Chris) return to the game when whence he left...certainly a first; very nice and good to have you back into the swing of things!!! Yes, I know some might suggest that another NPC has done the same, but that was always planned. In this case, it certainly wasn’t part of the plan. Such an unexpected surprise!!!

*NPC spending 1 1/2 hours to get audio to play for a plot...perseverance is a good thing right?!?!?!

While I had fun playing this weekend, what stuck out in my mind most were the NPC moments I had, like:

1) Going down as Falen, Ambrose's brother - sorry about the puke Bobby!

2) Going in as a member of the Drunk Trio. Good ale! We'll right a nice report about Elecsirt's.

3) Dressing up as the Earth Elemental and watching everybody fall when I cast Magic Earthquake...I know we're not supposed to like ganking people like that, but it was mildly amusing to watch 90% of the people who came in go down. Darren and Chris - you guys rocked as Fire and Ice!

4) Going down as a Priest of Torom and healing Morgan after Quintaras vital struck him in Orogom's place. The look on Morgan's face was priceless!

5) Coming out of the Portal with that snake creature. Now, what made this amusing was Keith beforehand had told me, "You are evil!" when I asked for what character type I was playing. As such, I walked by everybody after coming out of the portal, grabbed the moonstone, and then got killed by Stark and the Constable. As Keith and I were walking back up, Keith made a comment about me not responding to the townsfolk, and I said, "I'm evil...why would I deal in social pleasantries?"

ooo, so many amazing moments. Let me see. This might take time to list them all and they are in no particular order.

  • THEEF!!!!!
  • The look on Stark's face when he realized I had black activation sand
  • (crosses fingers) Please don't let the mind flayer read my mind and find the entrance to the Klor's Guild. Zeesa would kill me! lol
  • Finding out my music actually can calm people down when we were breaking open that portal - And finding my missing instrument
  • Do you need a hug from Laroon?
  • Hearing the other bardic abilities of those in the town (sings) Here they come just a shambling down the street. Singing... Mmrhmeoooomehrooo
  • Do I hear a faint buzzing noise like a mosquito or are the two courtesans trying to give me a make over... again... lol
  • Smirl trying to figure out what was wrong with Eliora.
  • Ambrose and Falin - Dinner and a show

I know I didn't get them all, but these were a bunch of them and the whole weekend was soo much fun! I am going to greatly miss everyone.

Some of my favorites...

-Being shadowmarked by the Drow Queen. Okay, I know that's weird to say, but I love how in order to get to Stark, she went after Cali and made her curse herself. Stark will save her, I know it. It was also get to see Mike get so into character and scare people with his rage. I loved being able to tap into my emotions and break down as Cali as well. So much fun to cry on command! It was a great plot and I can't wait to see what happens. Thank you everyone for being concerned and taking care of Cali. :)

-Stark's final quest to get into the Silverhand. Those elementals were awesome! And congratulations, Stark, on completing it.

-Stark running out half-naked to fight Toromites. I still think it's sexy. *wink*

-Ginger and I going down as whores. SUCH A BLAST! And I cracked Stark. *giggles* Awesome pickpocket, Ginger. Took him a minute to figure it out.

-Arlon coming in to give us a recharge and to close the portal. Always kick-ass to see him. Praise Arlon!

-"Laurelin is Hunting You Down" song. Priceless.

-Ambros and Falen. I almost cried from laughing so hard.

-Going down as Lily the Sprite. She's always fun to play. Witches, Warlocks, Wizards, Shoot! lol

-Theef...enough said.

This game was tons of fun. I'm sad I had to miss part of it! Anyway, I'm probably forgetting a few, but these are the ones that stand out for me:

Tabris spending a lot of time hanging out amongst the trees, setting watch over the portal. I love how well that works for the plot involving the portal now. Also, it was nice for when those... shadow guys (a wraith and something else, right?) attacked the tavern, I was the only one outside. I was convinced that the wraith would be able to see where I was hiding, since it seemed to be looking at me so many times, but I was able to get my surprise attack in. Of course, it just had to be on the one that was incorporeal... >.<

Being about to go to bed Friday night (or Saturday morning, technically), getting my last piece of armor off, and hearing, "PRAISE TOROM!" from outside. Although, Stark's reaction was much more amusing than mine, I admit. Still, it was worth it to get that light spell in the end.

The potatoes. They were delicious. And the added effects weren't bad either.

Beardo's plot. The entire thing. Not only was it seeing Beardo play Desmera, and him subsequently shaving his Beard off for the plot, but also getting to play a Toromite. With the first one I played, just as the Constable was about to vital strike me, I shouted, "For the glory of Torom!" and let out a contented sigh upon being struck. Then, the second Toromite, who used his "blessing" to constantly keep Izzy at 1 life, while the others skinned him alive. What fun. And then, after being killed, all they found from searching my body was "a contented smile." Good times. And, to top it all off, actually roleplaying out Tabris tracking him, coming across the orc cave after it all went down, finding some of the beard hair, and returning to the forge, thinking that the hair was all that was left of him. And, when he realized it wasn't, throwing it down in disgust. All in all, that was a really fun fun plot, and I was glad to be a part of it.

The whor- er... courtesans. Just... everything about them in general. I've decided that they are more or less the opposite of the sprites in Tabris' mind.

The return of the sprites! Tabris was so happy, and was more than eager to help them out. Anyone else notice how much he was defending them about the flowers being a simple mistake? And, the whole exchange of "We sprinkle the dust on you, and then you say, 'GIGGLES!'" ".........do I have to say it like that?" "Hm....... yes." XD

My brief stint as the apprentice to the Ardorian mage, mainly for everyone's hesitant and fearful reactions as we approached, and the fight with that.... beast made mostly of teeth, whatever it was. Awesome mask, I must say.

Returning with KB as the sprite, and just testing Tabris' patience to see how long he could put up with her ("Do you need a hug from Laroon?!"), and also keep her on task. It was something of a struggle, to be sure. And, having gotten too close to the flower, getting the thievery effect. It was very difficult to choose who to steal from, and with so little time left, but it was still probably a mistake to have chosen Cali, especially when what I pulled out was a pack of cloves. -.- Wouldn't have done me any good anyway. At least Stark didn't actually kill me for that...

The idea I got at the diner afterwords for a recurring plot. I'm going to do a lot of planning on it before trying to bring it into the game, but I think it will make for some VERY interesting developments...

Anyway, I've blathered on enough.

This game was one of the top ten of all time for me! I was so damn busy it flew by. Lets see.... Highlights...

- Well I can't deny it... I loved playing the Drow Queen, that was just too much fun, and the first time I ever got to roll out an evil character live. I have rpd evil charas just never in a live setting such as this. I was kinda nervous but judging from the hate she got, I guess I did a good job. Of course many thanks to my two mind flayer minion without whom none of this could have been possible. Stark and Cali great emotion in that rp, and thanks for not failing me human (aka Hanz)

- a post script to the last... when Hanz was under control and being interrogated about Stark, he was asked who Stark lived with, and Hanz replied "The Druid Laurelin" ... to myself I was laughing... "Who else?" A tryclopse and an elf" "And what are they to him?" "A friend and a lover." "A lover eh?... Which one the triclopse or the elf?" Lucky for Orogom Hanz got that one right.

- The plot with the beast/pelazarian mage was so cool. I don't know what it was about the mask, the voice, the sounds, but it was just rockin. The voice reminded me of the alien from Independence day when he held the dead guys throat to speak "Peace.... no... peace..." Yes the sound byte was well worth it Keith.

- Samarac walking around with that creepy red guy, who everyone was wondering who/what he was, then he came in and just rocked that thing that came out of the portal. "Dark Magic Death" "Uh thanks... for that... um... I gotta...Sam?!?!"

- When Laurelin was made to look like a drow, and it was late friday night, we hear "Praise Torom" As the town went to whip his butt, Laurelin casually extinguished her elf stick, walked on over, got in real close and hissed in the tormoites face "Give him to me!" Chris, your expression was priceless and contributes to the charas favorite moments against toromites.

- Getting whipped by the shadow and dropping dead right in front of Cali. From under the table I hear a tiny voice "Magic Heal" Laurelin gets up, looks at the wraith... looks at the shadow... "Oh they are after me... lets take this outside." where she proceeded to scream at both of them. Sometimes while Im rping Laurelin, I can't help but think... What the hell is wrong with this girl???

- When the fire and ice elementals started fighting each other... and everyone like ... "NICE"

- On a personal note, when the Awethorn came and unloaded a ton of info on the chara that has her mind spinning with possible meanings. So much great rp there that has been occurring, I can't wait to find out more.

- And man.... killing the Awethorn.... well that will hopefully be a highlight for next game....

Lessee...

- "Laurelin is hunting you down." XD

- Ambrose and Falin. EVERYTHING. Gold, guys, solid gold. And Stark's Falin/Failing jokes were good too. You have no idea how hard it was to keep a straight face through that. D:

- The Avatar. And Artha's subsequent reaction. I am gonna have sooooooooo much fun with this...

I guess that with all the other craziness caused, the brawl in the garrison with Stark Oro and the Toromite didn't really leave an impression.

But pther than that you all already stated the best parts in my opinion.
Notice. Thank you for noticing this notice, your noticing has been noted. (And will be reported to the authorities!)

That brawl WAS funny...good times. It looked damn real. Toromites really do like getting beat up. NO MORE BITING STARK'S LEG! You were so gonna get Magic Striked for that. *giggles*

You guys have already posted so many amazing moments!! It really was a great game!!

Some of my highlights!

1. The portal plot was a personal favorite of mine!! NICE JOB KEITH! :) Too bad Trielll was not around to see it :winks: - It was great to see the bard go to work on that one while the druid communicated. Great show to watch for sure!

2. Meeting up with my good friends from Underrath late late Saturday before bed and finding out some kewl info can't wait to share with Stark in game........YOU ARE GOING DOWN QUEEN OF THE DAMNED!! Glad to get some more shadowy tricks up my sleeve :) Sorry the rain cut our RP short Keith but I swear it I was all in!

3. Always got nothing but LOVE for the mindflayers!! I FINALLY was able to resist that DAMN PARALYZE for once in 4 seasons!! YES! Oh and of course loved being gangbanged by my own spells with multiple spell turns and mystic crushes thrown at me! Nice! Killed by my own brother-in-law....in disguise :P

4. Artha being GODSMACKED....literally! :)

5. THEEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):)

6. Of course the Laurelin song that was hilarious!

7. Zeesa finally getting drunk in the Tavern and laughing at the death jester right before they attacked us......what a bad hangover :) PRAISE LAROOOB!!!! "HEHEHEHE......HOLD"....Priceless!

8. RP with Cali in the Tavern while she cried about Stark - Damn girl you almost made me cry for real!! Amamzing job!

9. You really are the best pickpocket ever. Next time, you just need to grab the right pouch, and I'll kiss him a bit longer. LOL

10. LOL Sometimes I think the members of the town are a little thick. They should really pay more attention.

I'm slightly annoyein that I had this pretty much typed out when my internet crapped out. Then I had to leave, so I couldn't retype it then. Other than that, great game.

Honestly, I have to say that, even if it didn't go quite as I had planned, running my plot was a blast. I always love the reactions I get when I shave like that. I surprised the Constable when Demsera blocked one of his Vital Strikes. I suppose blocking with a sword when you normally use the poke-it-dead fighting style I tend to favor would be a bit of a surprise. Robbie was great, bring back my beard like that. And Bobby had fun, judging by that heart beside me. Also, I grabbed the wrong wig, so Desmera didn't have the hair I'd planned. Guess that'll wait for later.. heh heh heh.

The Flowers of Spritely Boredom were amusing. Somehow, "Be dizzy for one hour" translated to getting sick all over. Too bad I got the incorporal thing intead of the wraith. Then again, it might have killed me. The one I got Sunday was a bit of a let down, if only because it doesn't carry over the moon. Bark Skin: 25 armour.

The whores... one of the less amusing points, if only in that I didn't interact much with them. Still, the best rejection line ever: "I'm srry, but I just had my heart ripped out earlier today. Literally."

That damn Earth Elemental made me waste my Alchemy Heal... Other than that, great job, guys.

Mmm... potatoes are yummy.

The Death Jester and friend... Darren, you are insane. Made me real glad I didn't let you touch me with the weird, glowy powder, though. And IDing monsters at night, especially without having seen them first? Not easy.

Ah, the blooletting Toromites... How DID I survive that? Apparently, stalling in a polite fashion sometimes works. I know, it surprised me, too.

That's about it for stuff I can actively remember, excluding the weather and the odd event that didn't really seem too interesting.
